Rad Hourani presented his first collection for Spring 2008, and was hailed by Style.com as a "designer to watch". Although Rad has no formal training, he has years of experience styling and paying close attention to detail. His highly developed personal style is his main inspiration. He translates this to create androgynous, modern silhouettes for men and women. From season to season, signature pieces are revisited, reworked: the super skinny pant, the sleeveless jacket, the oversized tshirt, and a wide range of leather pieces. With his clear objectives of unisex, seasonless, futuristic clothing, Rad has created a cult following that only grows season-to-season. After starting off with a strong support base in Canada at Holt Renfrew and Montreal's Reborn, the brand now has points of sale in New York, London and Hong Kong to name a few. Fearlessly moving forward with his vision, shoes, handbags, and jewelry have also been developed.

Coffee? i don't drink coffee.
Dinner? Lucien in New York.
Drinks? La Perle in Paris because it's close to my place.
Dancing? Beatrice in New York.
What do you do for fun? See old friends and dance with them all night.
Where do you go/what do you do to get inspired? There is no specific process. I just carry a mental notebook where I make notes at any time of the day. I can get inspired by someone on the street, or by a book, or a discussion. Then I put it into a few straight lines....

Rad is also an enthusiastic film director. He creates kaleidoscopic visuals of his own shows, as well as those of other designers he loves. He also directed a series of video portraits of Canadian Models including Heather Marks, Meghan Collison and Darla Baker.
