But stealing the ballerina tights from Nina Ricci Fall/Winter 2007 wasn't the coolest move.

This look just makes us happy.  Definitely Lily-approved.

Interesting Graphics at Hervé Léger

We think it's cool that Max Azria is sticking hard to the iconic bandage dress thing. He adds just a few technical innovations each season and it works. For Resort 2010, there was a peekaboo effect with gemstones suspended between the bands and really cool graphic patterns.  Here a few of them:

This one, though, isn't as great.  It made us think of Mugatu and the Piano Key Tie:

Kirsten Dunst

Best Dressed of the CFDA Awards!  She looks so adorable wearing Rodarte that were the Womenswear Designers of the Year.  The entire look works for her, especially the makeup... fresher than we've seen her in a long time.

Resort 2010: Balenciaga

Kinda freakin' out over this silhouette...  It's amazing (amazing to be read out loud in sing-songy voice)...

Leighton Meester

Oh Leighton Meester, how fashion-forward are you?  Not only were you best-dressed at the Met, you are now best-dressed of the MTV Movie Awards.  Hello Sheer Paneling!

Erdem Resort 2010

Bravo Stella McCartney for the freshness that is this cutout work with lace.  We love.

Confetti Prints

One of the strongest print trends to come out of the Fall 2009 season has been the "Confetti" print.  It stems from the Abstract Floral trend that has been very strong the past few seasons.  It's organic without being full-on floral and adds awesome dynamism to the silhouette.  We like:

Best in Prints: Josh Goot

I was really blown away with Josh Goot's prints this season. His label debuted in Australia in 2005.  He had a phase where he showed in New York, but is now settled on London.  I think this makes sense for him, as he fits in well with Erdem, Peter Pilotto and that gang of strong printmakers.
